Making it a special night

Isn't it amazing what a bottle of champagne brings to the night? Not to mention my mom's crystal glasses! We had a lovely dinner that started out with champagne and pickled radishes - kind of like strawberries, but super tart! adapted from Tyler Florence

Quick Radish Pickles

2 bunches of small radishes cut in 1/2
2 cups white wine vinegar
1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons pickling spices

Bring the liquid, sugar and spices to a boil and then pour over the radishes and let sit until cool. Strain off the juice and enjoy the pucker!
